Hello together, since my current car (golf class, over 200 tkm, 115 hp, 5.5 l diesel/100km) is slowly dying, I need a new car. Starting point: – approx. 23 tkm per year, about 100 km of work journey per day (sum from back and forth) – driving profile (approx.): 20% city/village, 30% country road, 50% highway – budget: 8 – 10 T€ Requirements for the future car: – year of construction (approx.): from 2012 – Diesel (everything else probably falls out for cost reasons…) – at least 110 HP (approx.) – comfort before sportiness ( commuting on the highway is annoying enough – Ordinary space on the front seats (at least 190cm large) Equipment: – Navigation system – Bluetooth for cell phone coupling (Apple Car Play is not necessary, but music and contacts should be synchronizable) – Parking aid (at least rear) – Tempomat – nice extras such as seat heating, xenon light, etc. are welcome If I had to highlight three points, it would be these: – Reliability – cheaper/moderate maintenance – “Satisfied feeling – Ford Focus Gen. 3 after Facelifting (What about the long-term quality?) – Hyundai i30, Kia C’eed (long-term quality? Are the diesel engines really sluggish?) – Seat Leon (never driven yet) – Citroen C4 (never driven yet) – Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, etc. probably exceed the budget The following cars I don’t like: – VW Golf (Optical yawn) – Opel Astra J and K (partly schlec) hte experiences with quality) – BMW 1er (at least Gen. 1 I find too tight and uncomfortable) – battleships à la A6 or E-Class (garage is not long enough for 5 m cars) In advance thank you for your help!
