Hi, I bought new winter tires in series size for my Toyota Aygo automatic and got me aluminum rims of the large 6×14 for the summer tires. The mounting of the tires on the wide aluminium rim was quite difficult. The tyre owner thought that the tires were too narrow for this rim. Finally and with 6 hands the mechanics got the 155 summer tires mounted on the rim. However, if you put the tires horizontally on the ground first the rims are written I’ve always wanted the rubber of the tire to lie on the ground. However, the rims fit perfectly on the car and there is nothing beyond the body rim. Now my question. Is it a problem to drive a combination 155/65 R14 on 6×14 in safety/driving dynamic? I’ve read in other threads that this rim size is more likely to be used for 185 tires. Well now it’s winter, hopefully there’s snow soon so that I can use the tires. a new Pirelli’s can have fun on standard rims. Until later gruss pascal
