When changing tyres one of my rims was found to be high and they told me the rim could not be balanced out. After that I was with the bike at the next workshop and saw them running there also on the force machine. The rim has a height of almost 1cm and the workshop employee said I could forget the rim. After that third workshop (contract workshop) did all 4 wheels again and could not detect any error (so correctly has but I don’t think I understood my concern there). Well, since the wheels were all balanced, I just mounted them to test if I notice anything. First the rim mounted with blow at the rear right, then again at the front left. In both cases, I actually didn’t notice anything and I drove up to 250km/h. From 200km/h it gets a bit restless, which in my opinion is normal. But no vibrations in the steering wheel or similar. How can it be that I t t Shouldn’t the car have to vibrate like crazy? I still have a bad feeling and still wonder if I am replacing the rim. The vehicle is a Golf 7 R and tyres in the size 235/35 R19 (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S) at 2.6 bar air pressure. (Yes, this is actually the continuation of another thread, which I didn’t want to bring out again).
