Traffic violations in the eyes of the police – compulsive behavior?

Hi, I had to observe the following situation again today: A vehicle stands at a side road junction and signals with the turn signal that it wants to turn left into the main road, although a blue direction arrow and a crossed line signal that only right turn is allowed. From the right comes a motorcycle track, recognizes the turn signal placed on the left and signals to the driver that it can only turn right. After passing the turn signal The patrol official, of course, looked into the rearview mirror after passing the side street and noticed the traffic violation live. The result: vehicle is stopped and a fee-paying warning is pronounced. Since I have not experienced such situations for the first time, only in other constellations, I wonder which motives such a vehicle is like As I have found no logical explanation for this, I assume that this is a compulsive behaviour, especially since such drivers do not take any advantage of their actions. What experience have you had or do you have an explanation of the meaning of this?
