Airbags completely deactivated with luminous control light (myth?)

Hi, who doesn’t know the statement: If the airbag control light is lit, the whole system is switched off. I’ve heard of workshop masters, but I can’t believe it. Example: Vehicle has 6 airbags and the side airbag has a fault (Zündstromkreis hohhmig). Do the remaining 5 airbags trigger in the event of an accident? Should the software be prevented, that borders already on negligent killing. Example: Driver shifts the driver’s seat and thereby interrupts the V binding to the side airbag, 5 minutes later he drives against a tree and dies because the driver airbag did not work because of the fault. That it is of course so in case of sensor errors, is clear, therefore explicitly related to “interruption ignition circuit” of individual airbags. Does one know more? Thanks. PS. No, I don’t want to try it. Greeting Metalhead
