Hello dear Mazda – driver! My Mazda 5 diesel definitely consumes too much fuel, i.e. about 8 liters of diesel in a third mix. Even if I drive absolutely correctly (early switching up, almost only out of town without traffic jams), the consumption is at least 7.5 liters. With the plant specification of an average of 6.3 liters, this consumption is too high for me. My previous Premacy Diesel had a consumption that corresponded exactly to the manufacturer’s specification. Mazda started a software update, as the soot particulate filter allegedly triggers a combustion process for residues at short intervals, which makes up about one litre! Even a consumption drive with my Mazda dealer over 100 kilometers, with the route taking place almost exclusively on a motorway in the morning in the best weather and without climate and the average speed of about 100 km/h, resulted in a consumption of 7.4 liters. Allegedly Mazda knows about the problem with the soot particle filter, but there is no solution in sight. I’m thinking about whether I should consider a return of the purchase contract, because the consumption is not acceptable. Have you had experience with this problem or a return at Mazda. Thank you for your efforts. Randy69
