Aloha, does someone have an idea? I bought a 93 swift on ebay for a little money. in the village every amount of oil and water was missing. the home trip (130km) with accompanying protection went first inconspicuous, I kicked him after 80 km also times. after 110 km, just before home, the engine suddenly became very warm (short before the hot marking), although no special features in the distance or driving conditions. speed reduced and the temperature went back to runtwer after a minute. since I exactly did it. I wanted to know then I continued with high speed, but the temperature remained normal! that only as a remark. what happens now: I drive a little longer distance, and turn off the motor. shortly afterwards a large amount of foaming cooling water spits out of the overflow of the balance tank. the balance tank is overfull. I let the car cool down the cooler is then so instruction that you have to refill larger quantities of water. I checked: – cooler supplies itself from the balance tank: OK. – overpressure is generated in the cooler: OK – water circuit works: OK by the way: – the car consumes between 4.8 and 6.5 liters sprit. – the car consumes not measurable quantities of oil (m.a.W.: none!). – the car becomes in normal operation (no shaving) NOT too warm, the display keeps itself ALWAYS in the middle range, very constant exactly in the middle. now I am confused: – the water shows no traces of oil residues and “foams” only in the hot condition. – the cooler builds up a huge overpressure when it is warm there is a large fountain foaming hot water when opening. that’s imho a little too much pressure, isn’t it? many thanks for your ideas, tom
