In the popular car magazines like AMS, Auto Zeitung, Auto Bild, Fourwheel Fun, Autobild Allrad etc. the new Freelander II has been juxtaposed with its direct competitors like the BMW X3, the Opel Antara, the Mitsubishi Outlander and of course the Toyota RAV 4. The Freelander has won almost all comparison tests, sometimes scarcely, sometimes thick. The alleg my tenor to this SUV is very postiti v: the good engine, the very good suspension comfort, the good workmanship and quality and the terrain suitability are praised.
