Hello, yesterday it happened after all. Did drive with the new car in short vacation short right out to the gas station. There took place mowing work and a stone was thrown against the rear door of the driver’s side. Has violently banged… came then also police and after 3 hours the thing was then settled… Was this morning then at the car dealership, because the stone strike is actually very small, however down to the sheet metal. The “expert” one meant the door in any case k The car is only 6 months old and has only 5000 km on it. From experience, however, I know that painting is always delicate especially with the color where it has already been said that possibly the whole driver’s side has to be adjusted. I don’t know about the damage regulation either. But my first question would be whether Smart Repair would not work as well. The cost of painting would probably be around 1500 to 2000 Euro li egen (VW). What I really don’t care about, because I pass on the costs anyway. 😉 How do you judge the scratch, because if I’m quite honest, and it wouldn’t be a new car… then I wouldn’t really care about it. Lackstift on it and good. (I did so with my old golf and didn’t rust for 8 years). Therefore the question… let paint and correct any color differences or simply and a small point. LG Jens
