Through a post in another forum I have become aware that there is a problem for rust at the MX-5 NC. This is your area, which is usually not so easy to find. Under the rear bumper is the impact carrier. If you mount it from then comes under guarantee on the contact surface rust to the appearance. We tested it on Saturday at 6 NCs and were found 6 times. In doing so, BJ, soft- or hardtop, etc. We did not care about the area. n then sealed with rust converter, zinc paint and Mike Sanders grease (total duration approx. 1 hour), so that there is no rust at the place. I can only recommend to every NC driver (and if you can believe the rumors also Mazda 3 and 5 drivers) to drive to your dealer and to address it or to put your hand on it. If you want to know what it looks like, here are some pictures of my BJ 03/07 approx. 12,200KM: http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13167.jp g http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13168.jpg http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13169.jpg http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13170.jpg http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13171.jpg http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13172.jpg http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13173.jpg http://tili1912.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_1312.jpg http://tili1912.jpg http://tili1912.ti x5/rost/img_13177.jpg http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13178.jpg http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13179.jpg http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13180.jpg and three pictures after treatment with rust converter, zinc paint and fat: http://tili1912.ti.funpic.de/mx5/rost/img_13181.jpg http://tili1912.jpg http://tili1912.jpg
