Hello dear motor-talk community! My T5 was unfortunately completely equipped without radio and speaker, so I started the past days with the installation of an Eton system. I have the following things: – 3 way components Eton UGVWT5-F3.1 with each crossover for tweeters and woofers – speaker cable copper 1.5mm2 – Kenwood bt73dab – DAB window antenna original. Kenwood I have the cables new in the doors (low-tone) and front to the windshield (high-toner) sodas In the end I connected 2 cables from the left, two cables from the right coming together on the radio shaft. I put these on an ISO plug so that the woofers are placed on REAR and the tweeters are placed on FRONT. That saved me the soldering of the two cables from one side each (a rear system is not planned in the future). On the second ISO plug I connected mass and ignition plus. However, since I have not yet a continuous pause in the dashboard The system did exactly one day of its service. Today, the radio just went out while driving and refuses to tackle it again. I think it’s finally broken. Now to my question: I wonder if my new speakers have overloaded the radio and it broke because of it. It may be that my radio is too undersized and worked at the load limit until it finally reached its peak. or can’t loudspeakers shoot a radio at all, because they only draw as much power from the radio as the radio can deliver? Can I basically combine all loudspeakers with any radio, or should I have had to pay attention to something? What else could the failure be, if not due to a defect of the radio? Unfortunately, I have no idea about it, that is not my area. However, when purchasing the components I had to be advised by telephone, if everything was wrong. nander is compatible, so I bought these things (radio was already available) and built in. Many thanks and greetings from the Allgäu, poor_student
