Trouble with the Nissan workshop

Dearest ones, 8 months ago, on February 9, 2006, I bought a used, 5-year-old Nissan Xtrail in France, where I also live, according to the dealer’s purchase agreement. The dealer gives 6 months warranty. At the beginning of August, the car did not run correctly and the engine symbol lit up on the dashboard. We called the workshop to have the damage repaired. That was August 6th. Only for August 9th, that is 1 day after the end of the race. we got a free appointment in the workshop. I have to say that we were not aware of the warranty process. The W-statt changed the spark plugs, Karre ran again a few days better, but not impeccable. About 1 month later: same problem. Car in the workshop, which changes ignition coil (or something similar…). Now we brought the car back to the workshop two weeks ago, with the old problem. Yesterday the Garagist said that a new engine for 12000 Euro would have to go in (haha!!). I would have let the engine get hurt, because I would not have refilled oil. That’s right. But: no oil ran out and it never lit the oil lamp. The W-instead thinks that the lamp must have worked perfectly (why that didn’t happen in the first two repairs and why the missing oil is then noticed in the third time after 2 weeks is creepy to me). -> too stupid that the whole story is going on in France. Re We are not quite clear about the situation. How do you think that? Even to blame? Unlucky for me? Or would the dealer have to sign up for the guarantee, since I had registered before the end of the year? Or can I only speculate on culantness? Didn’t I already buy a lazy egg, if after 6 months there is so little oil in the cart that it is to harm? Would be pleased about a few helpful and non-helpful opinions. 🙂
