Moin, I have a 1941 Pontiac Torpedo with 8 cylinder inline engine Flathead. How do I adjust the valves with this engine? Valve play is known: between 0,011 – 0,013 inches, i.e. approx. 0.3 mm. Question: does this have to be with running engine? There is really little space and it gets abundantly hot in the crusher area. Or is this also possible with standing motor, where I can also remove the cracker? With the beetle, for example, you turn the engine on the corresponding cylinder and can then adjust it by sensor gauge Is there such a thing for this engine? If distributor on cylinder 1, then outlet cylinder X and inlet cylinder Y or something similar?? In the shop manual only the distance but not like… Thank you in advance! Greeting Gisel
