147 engines >115 hp

Hello! I would like to know your opinion about the following: I currently have a 1.8l Golf IV with 125 hp. The car is certainly not a rocket under 3000 rpm but the fun starts only from 3000 rpm. (Variable camshaft and 5 valves) In everyday operation (with summer tires, under the week short distance on the WE middle track) it needs about 7.5l to 8l. Let’s assume that I would be interested in one 147. Then it would have to be a motor in any case m It’s at least 115 hp. I’ve already driven the small diesel and the 140 hp diesel engine. Very nice… 😉 But how about the petrol engines? Especially this 1.6l (not the Eco.) and this 2.0 litre with 150 hp. Are the arduous thirsty? Do the oil consume (like the Golf IV 2.0l 115 hp, 1l to 1000 KM) Any other diseases like water pumps, timing belts and such a stupid sense? Motor electronics? Do I have to pay attention to any intervals when buying used (80TKM +/- 20TKM) Does the Selespeed something or are the switch breaks too long? Generally, what is the manual switch transmission for the petrol engines? Does it work just as well as with the diesel? Turn to the 150 HP petrol engine, seat heating, middle armrest (I don’t want to miss anymore) maybe also leather. ThX Pi16 (which is now stoned by the golfers in his company… )
