I have read somewhere, that there is a test golf (?) at vw, which was equipped with a function, which causes an automatic switch off of the engine at every stop – and you give again gas, the motor jumps immediately again and it can go on. I am interested, to what extent this has led to petrol savings, how it influenced the durability of the motor (okay, vw-motor but the relations to normal driven motors apply also…) and what the drivers have to do with it. agen. there was certainly something like field trials? or was it already an invention available in the series!? I have no idea at all from vw, but thought the concept was useful – if it is suitable for everyday use. kind greetings, oli
