During the weekend we had the opportunity to drive an A4 Avant 1.8tFSI multitronic, 160 hp, model attraction (150 km). With a short comparison with our 9-3 SC 1.8t, 195 hp, automatic, model vector. Compared to the Saab 9-3 SC, the Audi looks more bieder from the outside. 1. Fabric seats, adjustable by hand height. You sit well on the tight furniture, but lower than in the Saab 9-3, even at a perfectly adjusted height. The leg clearance for the passenger, especially for the left side 2. The engine runs smoothly, especially in idling, while accelerating from low tours, but not uncomfortable. Acceleration is good. 3. The car is more crowded on the road than the 9-3. At higher speeds, you have less feeling of high speed. The outside noise is slightly more noticeable than in the 9-3. 4. You drove on 16 inch Pirelli tires, marked winter. 5. The qualitative impression was much better than in the Saab, especially the subliminal polarity of the 9-3 was not present, although the car, as well as the Saab, reacted significantly to unevenness of the road by jumping and bumping. 6. The inner mirror is lower and therefore more disturbing than in the 9-3. 7. The effort of steering was, especially when starting, higher than in the 9-3, probably depending on speed. 8. The absence of free movement runs as in the 9-3 was immediately noticeable, one had to operate the accelerator more strongly generally.
