Customer service or rip-off at Mercedes?

I just want to let off a little “steam” on this way and am curious about how the experiences of the other Mercedes drivers are. In December 08 I bought a B-Class as an annual car at the used car center Frankfurt/Offenbach (EZ 06/2008) and find the car simply great! Last week, however, my opinion about the vehicle and MB was generally strongly clouded. I had taken over the car 1 week from Christmas and when picking up from habit according to the operating fluidity The seller assured me that of course everything was fine. Oil, cooling water and glass washing liquid were filled up and provided with antifreeze protection. In the days after that I used the windscreen washing system a few times and filled up pure antifreeze at the end of the year. In January I could not use the washing nozzle of the rear window anymore and drove to my contract workshop (RKG in Bornheim-Hersel) at the beginning of February. kstattmeister said that the hose from the detergent container to the rear window had not only been frozen, but had burst through the frost in several places. The replacement of this hose was so expensive that the workshop “culantly” flat-rated the costs at EUR 500. With material and VAT I now have an invoice of EUR 660,- “at the cheek”. All this only because obviously a) in the MB used car center was not filled enough frost protection b) Installation and ma (c) my contract workshop has fried up unnecessary time. Questions with dealers and with the customer service of MB gave the same sad picture: 1.) Operating fluids are not covered by the warranty! 2.) At temperatures below minus 10 degrees every driver must take care of himself! 3.) Kulanz??? What is this? Conclusion: If you buy a car at Mercedes in winter (and it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s new, annual) After leaving the shop, go to a workshop and have everything checked. There could be too little or no frost protection in it. Cooling water, engine oil, acid level of the battery are also all operating fluids with which Mercedes has nothing to do after the sale.
