Cologne – Electromobility has many question marks. One of them is: How long does the battery last? The Peugeot and Citroën brands have therefore extended the warranty on the drive batteries of their electric cars. Both brands raised the duration of the warranty. PSA is not afraid of a cost explosion: they have several years of experience in the reliability and robustness of the batteries, says the PSA-Germany director for used cars, Olivier Ferry. Ferry, positive for the residual value development of the vehicles. The warranty extension applies retroactively, however, Citroën offers the electric small car C-Zero and the small van Berlingo Electric. Peugeot distributes the identical models i0n and partners. The small cars are technically identical with the Mitsubishi “Electric Vehicle”, formerly “i-MiEV”. In one case, its battery had lost 17 percent capacity after three years.
