Hybrid – PlugInHybrid – Gasoline / Differences Efficiency

Hello, I had a conversation yesterday in an e-car forum on Facebook, where the typical manslaughter arguments against the PHEV cars were excavated again. When I then replied that I needed my PHEV for the trip to Potsdam (about 600 km) 1L less – and still had 40 km of residual energy in the battery – like my father-in-law in the “normal” XCEED, it was claimed that this had to lie alone on the smaller wheel of the PHEV. The PHEV would now be simply too heavy. I can’t drive efficiently as a pure hybrid. Everything I don’t see. How much is the PHEV heavier than the gasoline engine? AND: What do the normal hybrids “tow” with themselves in addition? The battery is even smaller. Sure. But there was an electric drive as well. PS: I needed 5.1 L for the 600 km. Tempo 90-130. Greetings
