lap times SL 55 AMG vs. Porsche

As already stated, I have added a SL 55 AMG and since the busy reading of the car press with focus on SL (instead of the previous one on Porsche). Now I have noticed for the first time in the Sport-Auto 7/2006 that the SL 55 completes normal Porsche in the lap times on the Nuerburgring at the “Sport Auto Supertests”. Here is an excerpt: NuerburgringSL 55: 8,06 993: 8,28 993 Turbo: 8,12 996: 8,17 996 C4: 8,23 987 S: 8,23 The normal 997 was unfortunately (yet?) not g The 997 S is the same with the SL 55, or minimally faster: 997 S: 8,05 Compared to Ferrari, I was also faded. Hardly any Ferrari can do it faster than the SL 55. Here’s another excerpt: F360: 8.09 F550: 8.07 F575M: 8.05 F355: 8.18 faster with Ferrari, however, were F360CS: 7.56 (with racing tyres) F430F1: 7.55 And here’s another few test candidates who were also faster: 996 Turbo: 7.56 996 GT3: 7.54 997 GT3: 7.48 (with racing tyres) Interesting I also found that all tested lotus didn’t reach the SL 55 in the most remote way: Esprit Sport 350: 8,13 Exige: 8,42 or 8,32 (2x tested) Why do I write this in here? Well… because the SL is being talked so badly here (loader, comfort liner etc.) I thought to myself that it might be time to break a lance for the car. With 8,06 minutes on the Nuerburgring it is now once in the front midfield. Sure… he will get the bulk out on the straights, who While most of the other opponents are whipping in the bends… But as bad as it is partly spoken, the car is not (even in the bends). And from the sound it is also a bit more exciting than the series exhaust systems of Porsche.
