Oil control lights up after 4400km with new Leggy Boxer Diesel – normal?

Hello forum! My wife and I are still very fresh when it comes to Subaru. My wife recently got a new Legacy 2.0D sport with the Boxer Diesel. After we now about 3000km really very gentle driving with max 3000 revolutions, she was now on the way to a fair the last days and has torn off 2x approx. 850 km BAB. She mostly drove in the range around 150-160km/h. On the return trip also a few kilometers a little faster. Then came the big Schr eck: suddenly the oil control lamp lights up and it immediately ran to Subaru (happily happened in the home town). Here they have told us that such an oil consumption is completely normal and you should finally check regularly. So I raise and care my vehicles actually quite well – as you do with work equipment – they should and must work. Without wanting to start a discussion about brands and engine concepts now: Our previous Vectra C Diesel and Mondeo MK4 Diesel didn’t get a drop of oil between the prescribed intervals and didn’t need it either. At the Vectra it was 50,000km. So is it really normal that the Boxer Diesel burns so much oil at a normal motorway speed for me that the controls light up? Look forward to your experiences and answers. Greetings!
