Hello dear community, hopefully you can help me with the following problem (is a somewhat longer story): After a car wash in a car wash in April I suddenly noticed countless deep white holes in the paint at the stern – then I went to the workshop/car dealer, where I bought my car. I was told that these white holes come only from the aggressive salt that is used in us (in Austria) – but can do anything with a Polishing either itself or through the workshop (costs approx. EUR 150) are eliminated – so far so good. After a new visit recently in the washing machine I noticed further holes on the sides – if these were from the salt, after all, no new ones were added over the summer. Last week I then had annual service with the hint of me, one should look at the holes and possibly carry out the polish – the workshop employee did not trust his eyes, he has never seen such extent of damage – he said that these could never appear because of the salt but are definitely rockfalls. After a long discussion we then had the idea that possibly a passing sweeper or a lawn tractor “throwed” countless stones with great force on my car (may well be, because at our residential complex an “Irre” mows the lawn). After consultation with my insurance representative and ÖAMTC the insurance does not come for the S My only chance to get the damage compensated is the liability insurance of the causer – since I don’t know this one, but now I have the big problem – cost of repair is about EUR 2500. Now my questions, to which you can hopefully give me answers: 1. Has any of you already had a similar damage and can tell me where this comes from? 2. Could I also get the damage myself? Is it also possible that the damage was already there before my purchase and that the dealer repaired it so far that I could not see it? Question therefore, because the damage was visible every time after a car wash. Would I be very happy about any help! I am very happy about it.
