Teurer Ignition Key Impreza

Hello. My father drives an Impreza 2.0l 115hp. BJ 97. Since after this time his first key had clear traces of use and was only difficult to release from the ignition lock he drove on with the spare key and had decided to have a new spare key made during a key service. Unfortunately he had to find out that the engine with this turned but did not sprung. Then he drove to his Subaru dealer who told me this with a chip in the He was already amazed at the cost of about 90€, but thought that if there was a chip in it the price could be right. Yesterday the key arrived. He paid the saleswoman the 90€ went to his car and found that even here only the engine turned and did not sprang up. Now he spoke to the car master of the operation on it, who then asked him if he still had the old key. He gave him the old key and he put the chip out and into the new one. Dan thought he already “If that’s how I wouldn’t have needed the new key at all”. And look, the engine jumped on. To the question why the key would be so expensive he was answered that they could not do anything at the price, he would be so predetermined by Subaru. Has anyone of you already had such experiences? I find it a cheeky thing the Subaru for the gle ie product(as delivered without a chip) requires 11 times the key service (7.95€). What do you think of it?
