Hi allemann, I recently changed the wheels at my Impreza bought in the spring or I wanted to change them, but I failed at first with a wheel nut. At the back right a wheel nut could not be loosened. Extreme effort was first in vain, until I extended the lever with a tube and put myself on it(!) – then the mother slowly detached. I turned off the mother (still very difficult) and had to find out that the weight of the wheel was too high. What happened here? Was the wheel nut screwed by the previous owner (or any workshop) bent on it? Can something like this happen at all? That would be the first question, another one still follows. I cursed of course, but then put the winter bikes on it and also tightened to the broken bolt with the (probably no longer usable) nut. She even let herself be caught under extreme effort. Since then you can hear a roaring sound from the rear axle, starting at about 40 km/h louder and louder, at about 90-100 km/h it disappears again. Is there somehow the possibility that through this whole action with the wheel nut and the bolt the wheel bearing was affected? I once had a Fiesta with a broken wheel bearing, which sounded similar, so I come to it… I wasn’t in the workshop with this thing yet, have ic h now soon. Would still like to hear a few opinions here before. Greetings Hansi
