Why are all these diesels driving now???

Hello! I’ve noticed more and more in recent times that the new cars you see are almost diesel vehicles. I wonder why? Just because the diesel is the “most affordable” fuel at the petrol station, it’s not cheaper to drive! Consider the higher taxes and the higher purchase price. I can’t imagine that people buy all diesel because of the driving behaviour. In the car picture I read that a diesel depends on the car only from 30000 k m/ in the year. And I doubt that all the tdis and cdis in the parking lot at aldi do so much km? What do you think is that? Pure psychology (I am now much billier) and not ability to calculate or yet the love of diesel driving behavior?
