Hello, excuse me if I have to “get out” something so that the situation becomes clear. A few months ago the air mass meter was broken after 250tkm. Could just roll to the FOH and for about 250 euros a new one was in it (did not see that it would have been cheaper with the help of the bay). Then came the hint that in the vehicle the retrofit kit recommended by Opel for crankshaft ventilation was missing. Another 150 euros invested and the oil separator was installed (see pictures, THX at bernDragon). Well, a few tkm later, so much oil is pressed through the valve cover seal that I had it replaced. According to the workshop, the candles were under oil (condition with the old seal). Car picked up yesterday – short way home – all clear. This morning, after about 10 km of motorway drive, I had to drive right, because the whole engine “shakes”. Feeled like it was running only on three cylinders. I decided, I am almost convinced that the oil separator represents too great a resistance to ventilation and thus builds up too high a pressure in the valve lid, which causes the leaks.Bin tends to remove the oil separator again. Can someone take a stand on my “hypotheses”? How would you decide? Oil separator out? After all, the car is also without the yellow angels. he drove 250tkm. Greetings from NRW tommi2000
