Hello to each other, this week big problem with my Omega B, 2.5TD, EZ98. First we noticed that the automatic climate control was no longer possible. Well, nothing wild thought about it. About 100km further loud noises from the engine compartment. After half an hour in the garage was found the offender. The climate compressor is driven over the dental rib belt. The belt runs over a turning roller, in which in turn a rotating disc – a kind of clutch – runs along. This clutch is more or less fell off, that is, the screw with which it is attached has broken down. Thus, the clutch falls forward and strips the big fan that sits behind the cooler. The next day to the friendly one who has removed the clutch so that it does not break the fan. Now unfortunately no air conditioner any more. And that, where now finally the summer should come back. Did any of you already have this damage case? Can it be repaired without the compre ssor to be completely removed (it’s quite tight there)? It seems that the rest of the screw is still stuck in the shaft that drives the compressor. Is that even repairable? The friendly one thinks, better like a new climate compressor. Costs new approx. 1000€. Without installation. Would be nice to get some information from you. Thanks already for your help, Markus
