Hello community and hello swarm intelligence I would be happy about your (subjective and objective) assessment for a used car purchase. So far I have driven a V60 T4 SUMMUN (2011) with manual transmission. Unfortunately, the engine is now over after 252000km.. Now needs a new one, which ideally still creates 100,000km and more. My driving performance varies professionally between 10,000-30,000km and I can not quite see yet, but probably more so 15,000km on average. ig is with safety, comfort and especially reliability over a long mileage. Quasi a car for eternity. So a Volvo I’m looking for Volvo Combi with 100,000-150.000km automatic and like summum or full leather and cruise control. Priced would be about 15,000-20.000€. Preferably diesel. For me the following models come into question: – V70 III (BJ/MJ from 2011) – V60 II (BJ/MJ from 2019) On the used car market there are both in my price and mileage range. Question: What does (prognostically) last longer? The “older” V70 less technology or the “newer” V60? I am aware of the risks of buying used cars, but I am ideally looking for reliable models/engines. Therefore, I am concerned about forecasts and not about safety, even if that would be desirable. Best regards Slooppe PS: I am very important that it is a Volvo engine and not a Ford/PSA…
