Hej, I’m a hobby Mercedes screwdriver and could so far successfully prevent someone from the family from buying a Volvo, which is not easy here in Sweden! Now my nephew came by yesterday to present his new car! A V60 from 2011 with 2 liter diesel engine 163 hp and automatic 230,000km run converted approx. 6000 Euro Very nice car! At the visit I fell on the both rims behind were unusually warm / hot! Since the coverings have only approx.2mm covering, I offered him to switch to the pads and take a look at it! I already looked at 2 videos because of the electric hand brake. One with 12 volts on the actuator drive the piston back and one disassemble the motor and turn it back by hand! That would be no problem. I would do this: 1. Pick up the rear on both sides and check wheels for free access 2. Use the hand brake and check wheels if they block 3. Remove the wheel 4. Remove the brake caliper 5. Control the engine 6. Press the piston with the reset tool all the way back 7. Possible pistons by braking and driving out again to check smoothly 8. Repeat points 5 and 6 9. Remove pads, disassemble and clean saddle holders. Floating pins fat 10. Reassemble saddle holders and insert mounting plates 11. Attach ceramic paste to installation points and install pads 12. Mount caliper 13. By pedalling the brake pedal Insert piston 14. Wheel on freeg Check fear 15. Handbrake 3x press and release 16th wheel for block check for bein Handbrake 17th wheel for freewheel check for handbrake Is this OK? Do you do it differently? Thanks for tips!
