At the Phaeton 3 liter TDI Built. 2011 my father arrived in mid-December 2023 the message steering wheel lock cannot be opened, engine does not start. The ADAC could not solve the problem and towed the vehicle to the dispatcher. He tried to repair the vehicle again. At the same time the control unit for the steering column was tried to exchange, which showed no success. In addition, another control unit should have forgotten its coding. According to the contract workshop, control units and small parts for 6000.-€ only have to be exchanged material. He has not yet mentioned the amount of the working time. It is also still open whether VW participates in a kulanz. The vehicle is supposed to have a value of approx. 7500.- Euro (if it is in Ordnun). The car only ran 140tkm is champagne metallic and has a beige leather equipment. Is there the possibility to have the ECUs checked, or a workshop that can fix something like this?
