Hello, I’m currently driving a Volvo V40 and considering replacing it next year for one of the then maybe last XC90 in the current design. I’m not in danger yet, because I’m only at the beginning of the search for alternatives, but acquaintances of mine have now ordered the second or third one, which shows me that they are satisfied. I have now started to configure and compare the car. I like the R-design, but on our rides with children would be good. The cooling compartment in the middle armrest is interesting, which would result in the executive variant. How big is that and is it really cooled or is it rather too small to be called a cooling compartment? Two 0.3l cans or 0.5l bottles should fit in. However, I don’t like the wood with the executive. I find the aluminium much more beautiful. On the Volvo website you can’t choose the decorative strips inside. I have to change this at the dealer or do what I can I’ve seen a photo showing the parking aid in the back with a camera via the navigator. I can’t find it anywhere in the selection. I’d like to do without the navigator, because it’s quite expensive and probably not the best. Can the display be more than just navigated? At BMW, there’s a lot more to it than just navigation. What equipment should I not do without? Does the sports exhaust sound better from the R-design? If I don’t have the R-Design would not take, I would think about a plant of Heico. Actually, these are all questions to the dealer, but I would like to have realistic assessments and a quite concrete picture before I go to the dealer. I would be very grateful if I could get some “first hand” experiences. Thanks and nice day!
