Refrigerant loss – correct troubleshooting

Moin Moin. My Phaeton is currently at VW. Among other things because of an error message in the climate STG – refrigerant loss sporadically – and because of partial failure last weekend. I asked today about the state of things. The service employee told me the 160g was filled up. To the question where the refrigerant went, came the statement that this can already evaporate. To the question whether a pressure test / leak test was done, the answer was the 160g plus counter The error message in the STG had not changed its opinion for just a few weeks. With my lay-like knowledge, I assumed that the refrigerant can only be weighed outside the vehicle. So everything has to be out and then completely inside…..or is I wrong? Then a pressure test with a gas would be very close. Is contrast agents not prohibited recently?
