Dear Phaetonauten Now it got my GP3: A stonefall on a motorway construction site required the replacement of the windshield. From other contributions I knew that the availability of WSS was not always guaranteed. All the more pleased I was about the announcement of my friend that a disc was available in Switzerland. So far so good. Also the replacement of the WSS was professional: no traces on the interior, only on the VIN-neck one saw that the new disc et The first windshield had to be returned before installation due to transport damage. The second windshield was successfully installed. On the way home, however, I noticed optical distortions, which were unacceptable. The waves, which stretched both on the driver’s side against the middle of the windshield over the entire height and a width of approx. 20cm each, made cornering a nightmare. The second replacement of the WSS took place last week, after there were no impairments on the replacement disc in its detachable condition. After the installation, however, the disillusionment occurred: This WSS too, as the workshop manager informed me, has unacceptable distortions. No further disc could be purchased until Friday. I will be informed next week about how it would continue to work. My question: Are quality problems with GP3 spare windshields known? After my decryption, the first replacement (see picture) is production from June 2020 (or maybe 2010?). Saint-Gobain can do better, she proved with the discs on my GP0 and the original disk of the GP3 (see picture). I look forward to your answers and greet you from Central Switzerland CH_V8
