Hello, I’m currently looking for a used Volvo V70 and I got a rather handsome offer. It’s a Volvo V70 2.4D D5 Premium with built in 2002, automatic transmission, diesel, 190hp. According to the seller, the vehicle is fully serviced checkbook, service was carried out only at Volvo. The last inspection took place before 15tkm. The car has exactly the features I want and is also optically flawless. The good track has already 235,000km on the speedometer. You don’t look at the kilometers, it should also be a pure long-distance vehicle. Nevertheless, I am not sure if the investment of a good 8000,- € in the car is worthwhile. Finally, I would like to continue to stand with an engine / or transmission damage on the stand strip in the next 2 years and 40,000km. Other question: How reliable are the used car checks of the DEKR A, TÜV, ADAC and Co.? When I go to visit the vehicle I definitely want to have a used car check carried out. Does the check protect me from experiencing the above mentioned scenario in the near future or can this not be estimated by the check?
