Hello guys, I have a Monaco Carpower 4/400 amplifier, with the following values: 4 channel at 2 ohms: 4x160W RMS 4 KAnal at 4 ohms: 4x100W RMS bridge 4 ohms: 2x320W RMS min. speaker impendance: 4 channel operation: 2ohm bridge operation: 4 ohms A subwoofer is supposed to run on this. I had previously the JBL GTB 1200e with 225W RMS, but it was smoked at the last festival (in the truest sense of the word). It ran at 4 ohms. Now I am looking for a woofer that is really suitable for the final stage. I’ve been dealing with the subject for some time, but I just don’t get to a green branch between ohms, bridges and double coils and need advice from people who know the matter. There are some different combinations that I could connect to. What would be the most sensible sub I can connect to this power amplifier? Am I right in assuming that it would have to be a 2×4 ohm, so with double coil, since the power amplifier can deliver the highest power here? e already in advance Korti P.s.: It’s only about the speaker. I already have housing.
