Hello together, I was on Sunday with my family for a longer trip on the highway. And there it was again, the unusual loud hum from about 80 km/h. Then I looked carefully on my steering wheel, if there is not by chance a Ford sign on it. But no, it is a Volvo sign and I actually sit in my Volvo. So, on Monday immediately my exceedingly friendly called, was allowed to come by immediately for intensive diagnosis. he sits in the back and we go. After less than 500 m he confirmed already the defective of a wheel bearing. And now comes: He asked me if the wheel bearings have been made before and which was changed. I confirmed to him that according to the then calculation (about 1.5 years ago) the left wheel bearing was changed. I then told him that I had learned from other Volvo circles (MT) that actually both bearings should always be exchanged. I got the answer that there was no problem with this. This is only done if the manufacturer is aware that certain parts are weak points. And since I am the FIRST and so far also the ONE customer, who would have problems with the wheel bearings, then only the left one is changed. On my note that under xc90 drivers the problem was already sufficiently well known at that time he immediately confirmed to me that both wheel bearings are made this time and that the costs Volvo in full HΓΆ so far, so good, on Friday are used with new wheel bearings. But it is already crazily: I am the only with wheel bearing problems (2x within 74,000 km and 3 years) but in the forums this problem is discussed endlessly π Greetings xcycler
