Hello dear MT friends. Maybe someone who knows the coat thickness of Leon 5F? I bought a paint thickness measuring device yesterday out of pure curiosity (no professional product) and tried it out at my (Leon 5F) Golf 7 from my brother and at my sister’s T-Roc. Always were values of 0.23-28mm (230-280 micrometers). The Mercedes R class from the colleague for example, had only 0.11-18mm paint thickness everywhere. My question, has someone tried it on his own at his Seat, VW? I find it a lot, because you always hear that new cars should have between 10-180 micrometers. My, as well as the other cars have been new cars and so I exclude accident or after painting. What is your assessment about this?
