Hello everyone! I drive a Volvo XC70 D5, Heico Tuning 140kw (actually 120kw), built on Feb. 2004, 5-GearTronic. The following: In the case of the previous insp. (20.000km, 40,000km, 60,000km, 80,000km) only oil of the quali. A4/B4 5w-40 has been filled in. The 100,000 km insp. was carried out, because of the change of residence, at another friendly. This other friendly has at the 100,000 km insp. (according to invoice) a Castrol Magnatec Prof. A1/B1 5W-30 light running oil filled. Wa But now I’m so surprised: In the Bertieb manual of the vehicle, however, it says, quite clearly, that an oil of the quality of B4 is “prescribed” for the diesel. Unfortunately, I only noticed it too late (now standing just before the 120,000 km insp.), when I recently sorted the invoices. The shock was great. How can this happen to the mechanic/mechatronician, because to fill in the wrong oil? He should actually see that this is one of Volvo’s I have heard that there are supposedly more light running oils of the Quali. A1/B1 are used. Do I now, by the wrong oil, have a problem with the engine? Or am I now completely mistaken in this case and the friendly has acted correctly? Greetings. Dickerhase
