Keep cars < 800€ or a more expensive buy longer?

Good day, I’m new here in the forum, I’ve already read a lot and found solutions. Great forum! But now I’m facing a “problem” myself and would like to have an opinion of you. I hope you can help me! I’m a student, I’m going to work by the way and could certainly spend €250 per month on a car. I don’t have any capital at the moment, rather only 800-1000 euros. I would like to get a car again, it’s just damn practical, I can go on vacation and I love e it’s easy to sit in the car and drive. But what should I get? I drive about 8000km a year, with a good car certainly more, as I would drive with it for example on vacation. So it should be a petrol tanker, although I prefer diesel driving. We have a lift and can do certain things ourselves, if that is relevant. Since I am a student (so don’t know how it is next year), I don’t have a lot of capital, I have to think twice about what I do now. either, I get a spin up to approx. 500Euro (my previous Escort I sell anyway, convertible in the Erzgebirge? I don’t think), which still has TÜV until next year and until then drives, then it is sold/changed and taken the next car as long as they drive. Or I get a “ordinary” car, a station wagon. Then it should be a BMW however ( unfortunately there is a lot of infatuation). The E36 are expensive in the insurance, the E46 Touring is e in half dream car for me. I would then keep it much longer. These cost between 2500 and 4000 Euro. Or? Are there any more options? I doubt that I can drive a car for 700€ without a bigger cost 5 years. Otherwise they would not be so cheap. To get a car for 1500€, which holds, but I don’t like, makes any sense… a 190E in the condition then costs more. Now I stand before this consideration. So a dark blue E46 w The question is whether he will drive me for another 6 years without having to break something bigger. I have no idea about that. I hope I wrote everything relevant and someone can help me and/or give me a start of thinking. Thank you in advance! Best regards!
