Since a friend of mine bought a V70 II AWD with 2.4 T-engine (209 hp) and I could drive it already a few times, I am now interested in a V70, but with me it should also be a bit more “toxic”, not because the 209 hp would not be enough for me, but because I prefer it a bit “exclusive”, so I noticed that besides the 2.4 T-models (i.e. with 200 resp. 209 hp) also a T5 (with 250 hp resp. 260 hp), and also the further The T5 with manual transmission is obviously rarer in the offer than with automatic (I prefer to switch). I read that there are problems with the hand brake cheeks at first (although V70-General), but from the T5 engines one does not actually read too much of special flaws or problems here, unfortunately there is no AWD. Therefore I would be interested in experiences or tips, what you should pay special attention to with the T5. The R was also available with manual transmission, this model would also appeal to me, especially since it was delivered with AWD, but apparently there were some engine problems with cylinder head or engine block, which often only occurred in the year 2004-2005 ?? excessive. It is clear that the R plays from the maintenance over the T5 in another league, but the T5 and the R in offers of Fzg. with lower mileage m. E. after not so hugely apart, so that the R maybe nevertheless, especially since it probably also not so often sold in the Federal Republic of Germany, interesting appears.
