Winter fitness Phaeton

Now, unfortunately, it also caught me, my Phaeton has stopped. Reason, because of the cold outside temperatures (at night to minus 18 degrees), formed in the diesel paraffin particles, which led to clogging in the engine (carburetor?) . I have the car now standing in the car workshop to warm it up . And tomorrow they want to pick out . Hope it is not affected any more . What annoyed me . I recently filled at Esso and there one should expect that the minus 20 degrees will enter . The ADAC has already pointed out in 2013 that the promise is often not to be trusted. (Shell and Agip performed better at that time) But what also plays a role. There are cars that are better able to cope with it.What experiences have you made in this regard and how do you prevent it? P.S. I have had to cancel many important dates now and wait in a village so that it will hopefully go on tomorrow. Annoying something like that. Otherwise, the Phaeton is with preheating and All-wheeler perfectly prepared for winter and suitable for winter.
