Battery in the rear

Hi, the 3.2er has the battery in the rear! Yesterday I somehow got on the topic of car batteries with the instructor and I told him that the 3.2er got the battery in the rear. Then he said that this would not be done because it represents a big danger for the following reason: in the case of reversing accidents the battery is built in such a way that it bursts when it is too cracked. This prevents allegedly nem possible short circuit, which could cause the battery to explode. He also mentioned the reason that the starter was not secured and a long cable line would then be quite dangerous. I then told him that I think it is a GelBatt in the 3.2er and that it is possibly safer or something else. People, here clarity must be created. Knows jmd. the exact facts from rear battery in the 3.2er(why why) and/or facts from safety regulations for cars regarding the battery. Would be grateful for any tip or hint! Remember: d he time I chatter with the instructor keeps me from working Thanks already greeting Sebo
