I have an appointment with a Volvo workshop in two days. Our beautiful Volvo V70 II (BJ 2001) with the 2.4l gasoline engine has only been in our possession for 2 weeks. He got a throttle-cleaning from me last week, because he ran a bit restless in the stationary gas (it was only up to about 1500 revolutions high, then stayed on his normal (?) 900 revolutions, but at the traffic light it went down to 500 revolutions … until shortly before going out). Since then he is a few thick L Since the car only saw a Volvo workshop (2001 – first inspection) from the inside (after that only a small workshop), I wanted to know if it is worth it, that it gets an update for the engine control / throttle valve etc.? Here in the forum there is only one contribution, which is rather negative than the conclusion after an update.
