Hello together, after weeks of sorting and weighing up, rehearsal ride with fun and without fun, funny experiences at dubious dealers, rather frightening experiences at other dealers, we are now sure. We (soon 5-member family with dog) want an S-Max with 7 seats. Since we will be tearing away in the year only about 10tkm, mainly overland and highway, we push to the petrolers – but are also not averse to the diesel, however, we are somewhat afraid that the Euro4- Diesel is worth nothing more in 2 years. Our budget is at a maximum of 10,000 euros, but better would be a vehicle between 7000 and 8500 euros. Samples have been driven so far the 2.0 Duratec – pleasant driving, but somehow I lacked the 6th gear. But of course would be ready for compromise. Alternative would be only the 2.5l Turbo, 5-cylinder, an engine to which you fall in love. Unfortunately anything but economic – nevertheless I would access there if I had a favorable and adequately maintained f inden. Tax for the 2.0er 135 Euronen, for the 2.5er 168 €, insurance incl. partial cascade and discount protection is the 2.5er even by 7 Euro cheaper, wonder why. Since the prices on the used car market make hardly any difference between petrolers and diesels and thus the purchase price bonus for the petroler usually falls away, we would get the higher insurance and tax even at 10tkm by cheaper consumption and price of the diesel. I would like to have an AHK, a cruise control and a seat heater. Tomorrow I will look at a few cars with my wife and take a little trip to Bavaria. At the top of the list:Ford S-Max 2.5 with AHK, 5750€ Ask me why this vehicle is so cheap. Before we go there I want to get some more information by phone. Presumably not to do any tuv and repairs. However, the price is tempting. But probably not a cruise control… Should we go down there, we d also this one looks at:Ford S-Max TDci My favourite, however, contrary to any common sense:Ford S-Max 2,5, 9999€ Or this one, but 2 hours driving time in the completely different direction:Ford S-Max 2.0 On the way we also look at this one (service due, rust control negative), and this one (also funny!) look at it.
