Noise from the servo pump

Hello, so, I’m driving a Megane I, first registration ’99. Problem: for about two months I’ve been getting a ‘grinding’/’egging’ sound (very good to hear). If it’s still cold, it sounds much more humane. Warm then the gloom is relatively no matter, you can hear it massively even with a slight impact. Strange is that sometimes it just sounds like a ‘iron’ and sometimes really hard mechanically after an additional impact. As I now come to the headline (according to the motto, the patient tells the doctor what to do): I was told by a workshop about a year ago that my servo pump was leaking and would still be around 50,000 KM. Every time I mention this in a workshop, it is said “yes, you have to have it replaced” without further control. However, the container for the fluid of the servo steering is full (even a little too full, far above the “MAX” marking). Is it a mistake to say that when the container is so full, can the pump not be so leaky to cause such noises? In this sense. Greeting Kai
