Hi, now I got caught too… my trouser tube (fortunately not the cracker… *froi*) is leaking… on the one hand, no problem, because I found someone near me who can weld the part – probably at the point where the two pipes are torn or lazy or whatever, at least leaking. On the other hand, the trouser tube is covered in almost complete length with sheet metal, which I have to disassemble for welding, i.e. bend folding and forwards. The problem now is that I probably can’t get the sheet metal fixed anymore, because it is point-pointed and the sheet metal probably burns away when re-welding to the trouser tube due to to toy sheet thickness. Now my question: The trouser tube runs exactly between oil tank and transmission. Can I leave this sheet metal cladding out without burning anything in the long term or is this – certainly not mounted out of fun sheet metal cladding – absolutely necessary..? Gruss und Danke schonmal coc ker
