Hello dear forum members I borrowed my Volvo V40 T4 from a friend. He let the light burn all night and had to bridge the next morning – strange, because I had used a new battery 4 weeks ago. So far, so good. After that he drove the car to me, but then the box didn’t start anymore. Since it couldn’t be the battery, I used the trick with the knocking on the starter. Then he went on again, in Question: Could there be any connection between the temporarily empty battery and the defective starter? Is it possible to break something with the wrong bridge or are these completely separate systems? Thanks for the answers! Details about the vehicle: Kombi, built in 1998, 200 hp, 1855 ccm, petrol, manual transmission
