Hello, I have planned to mix some vegetable oil with the diesel in my Golf III (1.9 TDI, 110 HP) year 1997 in order to save a little money at least with the high split prices. I have already made (2(diesel:1(PÖL) mixture). Also runs wonderfully, even the start at temperatures below zero is no problem. Now I have heard from a friend that I have a distributor injection pump in my Gulf, which is supposed to be broken with plant oil/raps oil. Then I of course immediately searched the Internet, but found no direct answer to my question. It always says that distributor injection pumps are unsuitable for PÖL. But what about a mixture of PÖL and Diesel? I have mixed all this before in a glass, and saw if the viscosity is still maintained (since PÖL is already very thick liquid). That looked quite good again. So now my specific question: Do I break my engine/distributor injection pump with the mixture, or is it not a problem by the area to drive me to the cost of conversion, I have to PÖ.
