Hello, we bought a beautiful alpine white 7s F01 with M-package a few weeks ago, year 2011, 128,000 km. The car was at BMW’s control and it was all good, no faults in the system – until I drove on the highway in heavy rain. The car was completely slid, when driving straight ahead evenly to the left and right, as if jmd was tearing the steering wheel alternately to the left and right. I am various vehicle models even in heavy rain and Aqu I’ve never experienced something scary like that before. You really had the feeling that the car broke out completely and pops against the guardrail. The whole adventure was at a speed of approx. 100 km/h. Tires are fine, nothing modified. There were no track grooves! It drives on 20″ M rims with 245 front and 275 rear. From the factory. After braking it was still like this, but not so extreme anymore. The car always breaks evenly to the left and alternately to the right and stabilizes again on a straight track (no aquaplaning). As if the rear axle steers along – but it has no other extras besides dynamic drive, such as active steering or similar. Even with dry road you notice that the car tries to stabilize something with slight unevenness on the road and breaks out slightly to the side. Such a lateral displacement, you notice like a lateral jerk as if it is slightly deflecting in the back. Especially at the Sp This can’t be normal? I’ve already read a similar experience with an X1 xDrive here in the 2013 forum, but without any concrete resolution. Others say that XDrive drives in extreme wet and snow without the slightest jerk and without any displacement even when changing lanes. Unfortunately, that’s just the opposite of my driving experience… I actually thought xDrive gives more safety and stability in bad weather conditions but it’s catastrophic. Uncertain. Does jmd. have similar experiences with xDrive?
