For the first time a friendly hello! For a few months the engine of our Mini Cooper (R50, year 09/2002) has been spinning. The following symptoms occur simultaneously: – ASC-T light lights – motor indicator light (small motor pictorgram about EML light) lights up – restless running in idle mode, sounds like it is shortly before dying (emergency program?) -> no power in the lower speed range and sounds like a “tractor” The error occurs irregularly (as soon as the engine is at operating temperature) and does not seem to be dependent on the outside temperature. After switching off and restarting the engine runs again “normal”. Only the engine control light stays on (disappeared after some “restarts” also sometimes by itself, without the error memory being deleted).
